The apprenticeship will usually last between 2 and 5 years, depending on your local and state ordinances. While working as an apprentice you will be making a paycheck, although it won’t be near as much as a professional plumber makes. But you will be learning all the ins and outs of the business and forging a professional relationship with all those that you are working with.
Once you have finished your apprenticeship, you will need to take the licensing exams to qualify for your plumber’s license.
